American Idol
I have a girlfriend in Kansas and we usually talk and email back and forth about how we feel about the American Idol contestants. It is a lot of fun and we enjoy the banter and the groaning and the “could you believe that…”.
This year we haven’t had the chance to discuss the contestants very much –well actually not at all! And so, Portland Firefly is going out on a limb and making her prediction for the three top finalists of this season of AI.
I am predicting that Adam Lambert will win. He has been a star from the beginning and besides, I do love those bad boys!!! Second, or possibly taking it away from Adam will be (can you believe she is only 16 years old?) Allison. Wow, what a voice and such a performer. In third will be Anoop-dog. He is just so likable and talented. So, the A’s have it! If Alicia was still around I would have put her in that group, too and not because her name starts with A, but because she is talented.
PS: After watching another week of AI, Portland Firefly has to agree with Janelle and Melissa that yes, Danny will be in the top three. Adam, Allison, & Danny. In that order.

Hey, what about Danny? I really like his encouraging music and his smile is so adorable. Oh yeah, he got a set of pipes! (I got that from the judges:)

I agree with Janelle – don’t forget Danny. Also, I have to totally disagree on Anoop. I find him completely annoying and have actually boycotted the show until he’s off. I don’t think he’s a strong singer – certainly not creative (to the talents of Danny/Adam/Allison) and I find him boring to watch – almost uncomfortable to watch. I can’t believe he’s come this far. How many votes are you putting in for him each week?

I love Adam too. He is in a class all his own. The only season I didn’t follow was the first and I have to say I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m with you Pam, I like Anoop too.

I am the biggest idol fan, since the first season. I’ve called the winner every year! I’m glad Anoop is gone.
My bet is on Danny – although I think Alison has the best voice. Adam is fantastic, but I think a little to theatrical.
We will see – hope I don’t have to eat crow this year!
