Stuff or Fluff
Recently I wrote a post about shredding my life. I commented about shredding all the papers that have accumulated over the years and the memories – some painful, some lovely–associated with those papers.
A dear reader commented on the Stuff and the Fluff associated with our lives suggesting that we should get rid of the Fluff and just deal with the Stuff in our lives. That got me to thinking about the Fluff. We all know about the Stuff in our lives and how it tends to be a time consuming bundle of necessities. Ah, but the Fluff is just that ~ Fluff ~ and not necessary, but enjoyable and I think that enjoyment is essential to living a complete well-rounded life.
And so dear reader, I must disagree with you on this point. I would rather dispense with the Stuff in my life and keep the enjoyable Fluff. For to me, the Fluff is the Stuff of life!!!!

I agree. There is so much clutter in our lives. Things that are troublesome, stressful, time consuming, responsibilities, uncomfortable–and yet, that is also part of life. Life is stressful, BUT also such a blessing. Stressful due to Sin in the World and there will always be that, so we as long as we breathe there will be Stuff in our lives. We each choose how we deal/or not, with it. Now the Fluff- things that bring a smile to our face, enjoyable moments, wonderful memories, beauty-we choose how we deal with those too. Do we take time to enjoy them, just for pure enjoyment sake, or are we some overcome with the Stuff that we miss the Fluff.
I’d have to say, for most of my life, I have been stressed out with stuff I have missed a lot of wonderful experiences, moments of beauty. Now that I am getting more mature in age and spirit, I am trying to enjoy Life. There will always be stress-for me constant physical pain-but even in that, I see wonderful things all the time if I just take the time to enjoy them. I still get stressed out-but it doesn’t seem as often as before.
I’m trying to have an attitude of thankfulness. I’m not always successful, but I’m trying. I am soooo blessed in my life. I take soooo much for granted. Lord Help me to be a thankful, grateful, gracious, kind, loving, helpful child of God while I’m on this earth.
