My book, TIE ONE ON, A Head-Scarf Tying Guide for Chemotherapy Patients is at the Publishers. It was sent in last week, before my chemotherapy started. It will be a beautiful book, I hope, with 60 full color photographs showing women how to tie their head scarves attractively. I had many reasons for writing this book, the main one being that I wanted to encourage women to look beautiful during this devastating time in their lives. I wanted to encourage them to have confidence in themselves while being comfortable at the same time.
One of my grammar and high school chums stepped in at the last-minute to be my Editor and she did a fabulous job!!! Thank you, Dee. My book would not be as polished as it now is, thanks to you. We did a lot of ‘tweakin’ ~ somewhere between 60 – 100 rewrites over the last two weeks. Of course some of them were just one phrase here or there, but phrases that these two Catholic educated women knew needed to be changed. We also did a lot reformatting. I must also mention two special friends who made significant contributions to the editing, Eleanor and Susie! Thank you!!!
And then there are the photographs. My photographer is a young man just out of college last year; yet he always knew that he wanted to be film maker and director. Andrew Creasy, remember that name, because you will hear it again. And wait until you see the photographs!
My book is full color and because of that, it will cost more that I originally had planned; but it is important for women to see the steps and I wanted them in color. My book will be ‘the perfect gift’ for a woman entering chemotherapy and will cost less than one trip to the beauty shop. There isn’t another book like it out there, so I am hoping that it does well.
Oh, in approximately six weeks,TIE ONE ON, A Head-Scarf Tying Guide for Chemotherapy Patients will be available through:
Google Books
Amazon.com
Barnes & Noble
Espresso books
and eBooks

Pam,
Ditto to jj’s message. Meant to tell you that you didn’t need to put my name all over the place – once would be enough. But, you are just such a thankful person that you can’t help yourself – that’s a great quality. Appreciate that we have gotten to know each other over these last several years. Planning on getting with you on more occasions. Much blessings – may your latter years be greater than your former years. Love you much,
Your cousin,
Eleanor

Pam,
Do you know the song, “Something Beautiful”? It came back to me this morning for you.
Something beautiful,
Something good.
All my confusion,
He understood.
All I had to offer Him,
Was brokenness and strife,
But He made
Something
Beautiful
Out of my life.
Have a blessed day.
Praying daily for you.
God has you in the palm of His hand.
Love you lots,
Eleanor
